Jasper R.C. Flyers Meeting Minutes, November 10, 2009 7:00PM

The meeting was opened by President Gary King at 7:03pm. There were11 members present.

Steve Hauser read the Secretary’s minutes. They were approved as read.
Jim Gatwood gave the Treasurer’s report. There were on transfers. A balance of $1704.66 was reported. There are 30 paid members. The Treasurer’s Report was approved.

The club members thanked Gary King for his 3 years as president.

Old Business
·    Gary King will contact the Cub Scout Leader about 2010.
·    A combo lock will be donated for the Storage Container
·    Roger E. and Doug L. will build the ram this winter. Others volunteered to assist.
·    Safety Officer spoke regarding proper techniques when charging LiPo batteries and the dangers of fires and explosions. Never set LiPo batteries to charge and leave unattended.
·    Carl Dodson donated a Fire Extinguisher to the club.
·    Roger Erny will fertilize field in November.
·    A thank you note in a Christmas Card is to be sent to Ramie Eckerly and staff for helping  maintain the area and during the Strassenfest event period. Include in card a note that we appreciate their work and if there is anything we can do to help maintain the facility to let us know.
·    Jim Gatwood is to send a copy of the letterhead to all officers.
·    Scott Blesch is going to check into the availability of a facility for doing indoor flying during the winter.
·    A discussion of what hobby projects everyone was either doing on planning on doing during the winter months.
·     This was followed by a discussion regarding 2-storke and 4-stroke engines, props etc.
·    After everyone wished each other a happy set of upcoming holidays President Gary King’s final action  closed the meeting at 8:15PM by President Gary King

Our next meeting will be on January 12th at 7:00 PM.
